A second family
Not your typical
They are very involved.
Also getting out into the real world
” The guys are given the opportunity to start rebuilding their lives while still in the care of professionals but also getting out into the real world. They are very involved with meetings in the area and fellowship. They also do fun activities like hiking and going out to eat together.”
Not your typical
” This does not feel like your typical Rehab center in a hospital setting. They helped me learn more about my addiction and realize I am not alone in this battle. There are weekly AA meetings at the house which are the best ones I’ve ever gone to. Even though I’m not there anymore, I still keep in touch with the staff and gentlemen who were with me at that time.”
A second family
” This became a second family to me. The support you get and your comfort make you just want to open up and share your story. I came in with a lot of issues with my mentality to actual physical issues in my body. This place changed and saved my life and now I have a community that will forever be in my life.”
You will not find a better path to recovery.
” The program at Wellbrook Recovery is a symphony of learning and growth. While each Counselor/Therapist approaches it in a different way, the recovery methods taught here all lead you deeper inside yourself where the real healing must occur. You will not find a path to recovery like the one here.”
I walked out a new man.
” Wellbrook Recovery completely changed my life. I walked in broken, completely and utterly broken, unsure of what control I had over my situation. After 45 days, I walked out a new man. Because of the group of guys I was with and the staff at Wellbrook Recovery, I was able to get my life back. I’m able to smile again; I can go out in public without anxiety attacks. Sobriety has been the best thing, it can be hard at times, but we keep moving forward one step at a time. We do recover! “
If you need help, you can stop looking.
” They gave me the help I needed when I couldn’t find it in Florida. They have great staff, and flexible learning, and they promote true growth. If you need help, you can stop looking and call this place. “
There’s something special here.
” Wellbrook Recovery has done what I previously thought to be impossible, and that is helping me put my life back together and learn how to stay sober. I’ve been to many treatment centers, and this is the best I’ve ever been to. There’s something special here that is hard to find elsewhere. The staff is incredible and passionate about what they do here. They genuinely care about us as individuals struggling to find recovery. You’re not just a patient here; you’re part of a family, and the clinical director goes above and beyond to foster and maintain that kind of culture. Thanks, Wellbrook Recovery, for making this my best and last treatment experience! “
The first conversation changed my life.
” I was broken to the ground when my son got me the help I needed. The first conversation I had on the phone with Kathryn from Wellbrook changed my life. She said they would help me with getting my addiction, mental health, and legal issues together. I told myself I would give them every chance to do so. I gave myself to Wellbrook fully. From day one to the end, they did everything as they claimed. My life is better than I could have imagined. Wellbrook, Ohio, is my family. The best thing that ever happened to me. Need help out there? It’s in Chardon, Ohio.”
Fosters healing and growth
I had an incredibly positive experience at Wellbrook Recovery. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff are genuinely compassionate & dedicated to their work, creating an environment that fosters healing and growth. The personalized treatment plans are thorough and well-structured, addressing both physical and emotional needs. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and excellentlly equipped. I especially appreciated the holistic approach, which helped me build skills & confidence for long-term recovery. I feel empowered and optimistic about my future. I highly recommend this rehab center.
No facility measures up to Wellbrook Recovery.
” I have been to multiple places in multiple states, one of which contracts with the NFL, and I will say that no facility measures up to Wellbrook Recovery. The real magic is the people and the program. Every single person there has the singular goal of helping each person in the program in every way. While each counselor/therapist approaches it differently, the recovery methods taught here all lead you deeper inside yourself, where the natural healing must occur. Wellbrook Ohio will wrap itself around your soul and forever be a part of your best life. “

A full set of Addiction Recovery Tools
Our therapies are focused on helping you acquire self-appreciation and reinforce your wonderful qualities.
Therapies focused on helping you acquire self-appreciation and reinforce your wonderful qualities.
Effective addiction treatment, particularly Dual-Diagnosis – addiction with co-occurring mental health challenges – requires highly sophisticated, multi-pronged, all-encompassing therapies. Individuals seeking relief from addiction at our programs will find us fully equipped with the most up-to-date and varied set of therapies and treatment tools applied by our professional and skilled team. Our robust and flexible regimen of innovative treatment exponentially increases positive and enduring results.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
An approach proven to help people struggling with addiction and mental health issues, CBT helps clients understand how thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors feed off of each other and can fuel destructive coping behaviors. Our specially trained therapists help clients learn to identify unhealthy thoughts and beliefs, challenge their validity, and replace them with more accurate and positive ones.
Acceptance And Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Frequently used in addiction treatment, ACT draws on many mindfulness principles. It encourages clients to accept difficult thoughts and experiences without judgment, rather than try to push them away. Therapists help to evoke clients’ own motivation about change and goals for the future.
Eye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is an information-processing technique used to diminish the distress caused by exposure to traumatic events. EMDR focuses on retrieving, processing, and resolving past traumatic experiences.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Motivational interviewing encourages clients to get in touch with their motivation to change. Therapists step down from the director position and become collaborators, guiding clients to find their own answers. The client is the “expert” on their life, and the therapist is a guide who helps them build self-confidence about their future.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy draws from cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help regulate distressing emotions and thoughts. This therapeutic approach emphasizes ways to practice mindfulness, manage intense feelings, and improve interpersonal skills.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)
REBT helps clients identify irrational beliefs that lead to emotional distress and replace them with rational, empowering thoughts. It focuses on altering the unhealthy cognitive patterns that fuel addiction and mental health struggles.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma therapy focuses on resolving the underlying trauma that often contributes to addiction. By addressing the core issues, clients can heal from the past and build healthier coping mechanisms.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS explores the various “parts” within each individual, helping clients heal through understanding and integrating different aspects of their inner selves. It’s particularly effective for clients with deep-rooted emotional issues tied to addiction.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT strengthens emotional bonds and enhances relationship dynamics. By addressing attachment-related issues, this therapy helps clients form healthier relationships, which are crucial for long-term recovery.
Attachment-Based Therapy
This therapy examines the ways early attachment experiences impact emotional and psychological development. By understanding attachment patterns, clients can develop healthier, more secure relationships moving forward.
Biofeedback / Neurofeedback
Biofeedback or Neurofeedback also known as EEG is a self-treatment method of managing or regulating the workings of the brain so that it functions in a more desirable manner through a non-invasive treatment that encourages the brain to develop healthier patterns of activity. This is achieved by repeated training sessions using a computerized neurofeedback program applied externally on the head.
This Neurotherapy program includes CES (Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation), Binaural Beats, and several other similar techniques using auditory and/or visual signals to help patients modify their thought patterns. This teaches the central nervous system to reorganize and regulate brainwave frequencies, and may even help teach the patient to recognize their own unhealthy thought patterns when they become activated.
Music Therapy
Approaches may include listening to music, lyric work, recognizing mood variations with songs, decreasing emotional tension, shifting mood and energy, playing music, writing music, and making recovery playlists.
Nature Therapy
Nature therapy, also called ecotherapy, is the practice of being in nature to boost growth and healing. Getting closer to the beauty of your surroundings lets in the light of how beautiful your life can be.
Art Therapy
Clients discover themselves while making projects like collages, emotion wheels, and creations with clay and paint. These creative approaches encourage clients to express themselves differently than they would in talk therapy and bring them closer to healing.
Yoga
Yoga’s gentle stretching, poses, and sequences help clients land in their bodies, fostering recovery from the disconnection caused by addiction. As a type of “moving mindfulness,” yoga can help clients heal the physical and emotional wounds of addiction.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness helps clients stay in the present moment and cope with stress and triggers. It also helps manage difficult feelings that arise – without the intense need to resort to drug or alcohol abuse.
The program that stays with you post-rehab
After turning your life around through an intensive process, you will be strong and ready enough to return to a renewed life – this time with positive energy and coping skills. You are determined to own that life without setbacks. But how are you going to stay at it? It can be very trying at times not to fall back into old habits. An alumni program will help prevent relapse.
