Walking the path to sobriety with you
At WellBrook Recovery, we are more than just a treatment center—we are a community of care, offering a holistic and patient-centered approach to addiction recovery. Our philosophy is rooted in understanding the complexities of substance use disorder while treating the individual as a unique and special whole. We don’t just aim for abstinence; we work with each patient to uncover the underlying causes, offering personalized care that integrates medical expertise, emotional healing, and practical life skills.
Our process begins with a comprehensive diagnosis, using thorough assessments conducted by our experienced clinical team. Our medical and clinical teams then design a unique treatment plan for the individual. Once in our care, we are fully invested in your recovery during your stay and beyond.
Prioritizing true addiction recovery
Rather than taking you on the easiest route to the goal, we take the smartest. We skillfully address the underlying cause(s) of addiction, and immediately begin helping you prepare and practice for a life of sobriety.
Comfortable addiction rehabilitation
We curate an atmosphere of support and growth. Our centers’ designs evoke a vibe of warmth and health, encouraging a positive attitude. Our clean, comfortable and roomy facilities promote relief and healing.

Questions you may have
Do you treat co-occurring mental/emotional health issues like PTSD or anxiety?
Yes, we specialize in dual-diagnosis care, addressing underlying emotional and mental health issues, such as PTSD and anxiety, which often contribute to addiction. Our focus on these root causes leads to long-term recovery success.
What types of addiction treatments and therapies do you use?
While we incorporate AA principles, Wellbrook Recovery offers a wide range of advanced therapies provided by our certified specialists, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (ITF), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and many more modalities and techniques, tailored to each individual’s needs.
Do you handle severe cases of long-term addiction?
Yes, we have extensive experience with severe addiction cases. Our personalized care and supportive environment help individuals overcome even the toughest challenges, allowing them to thrive in recovery.
Is there downtime during the day?
Yes. While we do have a full and complete daily schedule designed to foster structured and organized living, with various recovery related activities, including private therapy, group therapies, journaling, meditation, life skills sessions, case management, goal and progress review, sober outings, house chores, and post-rehab prep.
We also allot multiple pockets of time through the day and much of the evening for personal down-time. Weekends are much lighter on sessions and allow for unwinding and visitations for catching up with family and friends. The vibe in our programs is relaxed and pleasant.
Do residents get to go out of the facility?
We believe that recovery should be enjoyable and it is important that individuals in treatment are in good spirits and energized, which is why we keep positive energy flowing throughout our program. As part of that goal, we generally bring the residents off-site for outings multiple times per week with various fun and fresh activities and recreation in different venues. Additionally, we want to enable exposure to the real world with its various triggers in order to learn and practice sober fun and get a better understanding of personal trigger patterns.
Every resident gets a pass to the local YMCA for gym, sports and swimming. Other outings can include (but not limited to) axe throw, bowling, parks, beaches, hikes, restaurants, game shows, laser tag, whirly ball, movies and shopping centers.
What’s the food like at Wellbrook?
Part of substance abuse recovery is promoting healthy living. It is well known that nutrition plays an important role in mental and emotional stability and Wellbrook Recovery teaches nutritional health as part of our programs. To that end, we are careful to offer wholesome, chef made meals that align with our nutrition goals.
Our chef creates delicious, gourmet meals and regularly communicates with our residents regarding their preferences. We also accommodate various dietary restrictions and needs. Occasionally, we’ll also offer the option to order in restaurant meals (on-the-house) to spin things up and have some food fun. Between meals, we have a fully stocked snack room available at all times.
Family Visits
We allow and encourage family and friends to visit and help with connection and support, which are so essential during this challenging period. To allow for the smooth functioning of the program as well as the effectiveness of the recovery process, we have designated times for visitation and we also keep a light oversight of who is coming to our facility. Most visitations are set during the weekends, but we try hard to accommodate individual schedule needs and requests.
How soon can I get in?
While we always aim for same day admissions, this can depend on various factors including the individual’s specific case and needs, on-site intake welcome staff availability and time of day.
Our expert admissions specialists are familiar with most insurances and treatment details and can often confirm insurance coverage, conduct a treatment assessment and schedule admission hours away -all in the first phone call. With certain insurance policies and specific patient health needs we may need to consult with other specialists on our team. In these cases we will still usually contact you within an hour or two with all the answers and move quickly to the next steps.
Can I just come to the facility and walk in? What is the admission process?
In order to make sure that we are properly prepared to welcome and treat you, we don’t accept walk-ins. Our admission process is simple: We make sure your insurance covers your treatment at Wellbrook and we discuss any potential insurance related deductible costs (or you have a payment plan in place) – nobody wants any surprises later. We conduct a phone assessment to understand your specific needs in treatment.
Once that’s squared away, we immediately coordinate with the clinical intake team what times are available for your arrival and intake -usually within hours but depending on bed and staff availability. And then “way to go!” you’re on your recovery journey and have completed the most courageous step of the process!
What do I need to have ready before I call?
Nothing. But it would be best to help move things along more quickly and efficiently, to have the health insurance information handy and to know the date of birth for the individual seeking treatment. We’ll kindly help you walk through the process and guide you. We’re happy to patiently answer any and all questions (don’t hesitate, we’ve heard it all :).
How long do I need to stay in the program for?
There is no set amount of time required. Your Wellbrook Recovery therapists and case manager will work with you and your individual needs to determine your length of stay at our facility and for each level of care you go through. However, generally, if you are withdrawing and require inpatient detox, that lasts anywhere from 3 to 10 days, depending on the substances and your use and health etc. Following detox, residential level of care lasts usually between 30 and 50 days depending on your recovery progress.
At some point during residential care, the care team will evaluate -with the client’s input- that it is beneficial for recovery to begin gradually transitioning to sober life outside of the recovery cocoon of the facility. PHP is a full daytime intensive program in which the individual returns home (or to sober living) daily in the late afternoon. PHP can last from 2 to 4 weeks as needed. The final step is IOP. This program is much less intensive and is for a few hours a day a few days a week, with evening programming options available. Individuals stay with IOP for as long as they want or can, anywhere between 2 and 5 weeks.
What to tell friends and family
While most people are supportive, you can choose how much to share. If necessary, you might frame it as a “Non life threatening medical leave”, a “wellness retreat” or a “life coaching program”. But your focus should be on yourself, your family and the life-changing, long-term benefits of recovery, including ensuring that the addiction doesn’t end up spilling out in an even more embarrassing way than a rehab conversation can.

The holidays can bring a mix of joy, stress, and old triggers—especially for those in recovery. One of the most powerful things you can do is build a support plan before you walk into the gathering. A quick check-in with your sponsor or support person, choosing someone you trust as an “anchor,” or even having a quiet moment outside can make all the difference. Recovery isn’t about avoiding life. It’s about staying connected to what keeps you grounded in it. You’re not doing this alone—this season or ever. #HolidayRecovery #SobrietyTips #TriggerManagement #RecoverySupport #WellBrookRecovery #MentalHealthMatters
In addiction treatment, we talk a lot about trauma — but for veterans, police, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders, trauma isn’t theoretical. It’s repeated exposure. It’s cumulative stress. It’s moral injury. And it changes the brain long before substance use enters the picture. Many of the men and women in these roles never had a “moment of crisis.” They had years of holding it together. Years of witnessing the unthinkable. Years of being the strong one — until the weight became impossible to carry alone. At WellBrook, we take a trauma-first approach because we understand the truth: You can’t treat addiction if you ignore the injury driving it. One of the biggest patterns we see — and that referral partners often share with us — is how deeply men struggle to reach out for treatment. Not because they don’t want help. But because society has conditioned them to: • “Be strong.” • “Figure it out yourself.” • “Don’t show weakness.” That pressure becomes heavy, isolating, and dangerous — especially when addiction enters the picture. At WellBrook, we work intentionally to counter those messages. With peer accountability and clinicians trained in emotional safety, men finally get permission to be human — and to heal.
