Chaim Moshe Steinmetz, LISW
Clinical Director · Psychotherapist
Chaim Moshe Steinmetz is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and psychotherapist with seven years in private practice, whose clinical work spans addiction, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, relationships, and other complex concerns. He earned his Master of Social Work from Daemen University and has trained across an unusually wide range of therapeutic approaches — including EMDR (Parts I & II), Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, Breathwork, EFT Tapping, Compassionate Inquiry, and experiential and trauma-focused care.
Drawing on years of clinical experience, Chaim has also developed innovative therapeutic methods of his own — including Cold Assisted Psychotherapy — all in service of his core belief that clients deserve meaningful, lasting change, achieved as efficiently as possible. His approach is focused and results-oriented: his clients want real progress, not endless talk, and that's exactly how he works.
Chaim returns to familiar ground at WellBrook Recovery. He previously spent over three years at our Chardon facility as a psychotherapist and then Clinical Director, where he helped shape the clinical protocols and programming our clients benefit from today. Now back as Clinical Director, he guides our Ohio clinical team — pairing deep therapeutic expertise and an approachable, easygoing presence with steady leadership, strengthening the individualized care our clients receive at every stage of treatment.
