Wellbrook Recovery

Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Addiction does not look the same for everyone. The substance involved, pattern and length of use, withdrawal risk, physical health, mental and emotional health, and previous treatment experiences can all influence the type of care a person may need.

Wellbrook Recovery provides individualized treatment for alcohol and drug addiction at our Wisconsin and Ohio treatment centers. Depending on clinical needs, care may include medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, behavioral therapies, dual-diagnosis care, family support, and ongoing recovery support.

Substances We Treat

Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction treatment can include medically supervised detox when needed, structured therapy, relapse-prevention work, dual-diagnosis care, and continued recovery support.

Fentanyl Addiction

Treatment for fentanyl and opioid addiction is individualized to the person's needs and may include withdrawal support when clinically appropriate, followed by continued addiction treatment and recovery planning.

Heroin Addiction

Heroin addiction treatment can include medical detox, residential care, outpatient treatment, behavioral therapy, and long-term recovery planning based on the person's needs.

Benzodiazepine Addiction

Treatment for benzodiazepine dependence and addiction begins with an individualized assessment and may include withdrawal management when needed, followed by ongoing therapeutic care.

Cocaine Addiction

Cocaine addiction treatment focuses on patterns of use, triggers, co-occurring concerns, relapse prevention, and the behavioral changes that support lasting recovery.

Methamphetamine Addiction

Treatment for methamphetamine addiction addresses stimulant use alongside behavioral patterns, mental health concerns, coping skills, and the stability needed to support recovery.

Xanax Addiction

Treatment for Xanax misuse and dependence can include clinical assessment, appropriate withdrawal management, therapy, and continued addiction care.

Marijuana Addiction

Treatment may be appropriate when marijuana use is interfering with health, responsibilities, relationships, or a person's ability to stop despite negative consequences.

Kratom Addiction

Treatment for problematic kratom use is based on the person's pattern of use, symptoms, health history, and overall clinical needs.

Prescription Drug Addiction

Prescription drug addiction treatment addresses problematic medication use, including situations where dependence or addiction developed after a medication was originally prescribed.

Treatment Looks Beyond the Substance

Effective addiction treatment involves more than identifying the substance being used. Wellbrook also considers the patterns surrounding substance use, previous attempts to stop, mental and emotional health, trauma, family dynamics, daily responsibilities, and the environment a person will return to after treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Many people entering treatment have used more than one substance. Rather than viewing each substance as a separate problem, the admissions and clinical teams consider the full pattern of use when evaluating treatment needs and developing a plan for care.

Substance use can occur alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and other mental or emotional health concerns. When these concerns are present, Wellbrook’s dual-diagnosis approach addresses them alongside addiction as part of a more complete treatment plan.

"It might be a different type of breathing technique that you need, or just whatever helps ground you." Deep breathing. Fidgeting. Pausing to ask what's next. Small tools, real impact, a reminder from our team on getting through an anxious moment. #WellBrookRecovery #RecoveryMonth

Two states, one standard of care. In Chardon, Ohio: a close-knit community on a beautiful 7-acre property. In Brookfield, Wisconsin: elegance meets comfort, with advanced amenities and a home that doesn't feel like an institution. Different property, same idea: a place worth healing in.

Some moments change the direction of your life forever. After losing his son Seth to an overdose, Jeff johnston had to sit down with his family and tell his sons that their brother was gone. In the shock of that moment, Jeff realized he wasn’t only telling his sons what had happened. He was facing one of those rare “dad moments” where what he said next could shape how his family carried this loss forward. What came next became a defining moment for Jeff and his sons, and a message that has stayed with him ever since. Jeff shared this deeply personal story at The Light We Carry, hosted at WellBrook Recovery in Brookfield. Watch his full keynote from the event here: https://youtu.be/ImUofajCAww?si=-a5oNl7rOVLjUDtK

A few months ago, clients told us they wanted more breathing room built into the day. So we changed the schedule. Not a survey that disappears into a drawer, but an actual adjustment clients could feel by the next week. That's the kind of feedback loop we want to keep building: tell us, and watch it become real change. If you're an alum with feedback on your experience here, send us a DM. We're listening.

Dual diagnosis. Two words that can sound clinical, but the idea is simple: treating a substance use disorder alongside whatever else is going on underneath it, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more, at the same time, not one after the other. At WellBrook, that's not an add-on to the program. It's the program. Because treating one half of the picture rarely holds if the other half is still untreated.
